Healthy Wendy's Frosty Copycat

Decadent, and creamy, this Wendy's frosty copycat is a great snack for you!

Ever had a sudden craving for a McDonald's chocolate milkshake, Tim Hortan's cappuccino, or a Wendy's Frosty? Trust me, I definitely have, and this is a great copycat recipe for the Wendy's frosty.
The creamy, chocolaty sensation you have when you sip on this drink is amazing. I mean, why spend the money at Wendy's when you can make it at home?

It has simple ingredients. All you need is almond milk, cocoa powder, vanilla, xanthan gum (key ingredient!!), maple syrup, and a frozen banana.
If you don't have almond milk, feel free to use normal milk!

It takes a few short minutes to make this, so go get started!

Healthy Wendy's Frosty Copycat
Serves 1

Ingredients

3/4 cup (6 ounces) almond milk (or normal milk. I used almond breeze by blue diamond)
15 ice cubes
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1-2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder (depending on how chocolatey you like it)
1/2 teaspoon xanthan gum (this is the KEY ingredient; don't leave it out!)
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1/2 of a frozen banana

Directions

Blend until completely smooth. Enjoy!

Note: Add some tasteless protein powder to this frosty to get your boost for the day.
If you prefer something more sweet than 'cocoa' rich, add a little more vanilla and maple syrup!
